Here is Dolores when she graduated with her PhD in Psychology.

Dolores worked at a crisis center and did some private counseling (in addition to trying to help Steve!).

We started ballroom dancing and had lots of fun, even competing in a few big events!

We still did a bit of country western dancing but we were hooked on ballroom until we moved to Dallas, due to a job opportunity for Steve, and found out that we knew more than the instructors there!

Mary Repman (who Dolores worked with when we lived in LA) came for Christmas in Encinitas helping us cook dinner (after lots of wine!) for  Dolores’ Mom and Aunt Dody!

While we were in Dallas, one of Steve’s old consulting clients asked him to move back to San Diego and be their CIO – so we did – moving inland this time to Alpine in 1993 and that began our interest in wide open spaces….

We had to buy a truck….we always seemed to be trying to fit big “stuff” into our small cars, especially with the large scale train set up Steve built where the front lawn should have been!

Dolores, having decided psychology wasn’t for her, started writing for the local paper and creating screenplays.  She was still into crafts in a big way and started making Teddy Bears!

We had a lot of fun while Steve worked for CCN and lived in Alpine, leading up to the sale of the company and our first “retirement”!

Dolores hung out with Debby Monk, our old dancing instructor, in the world of acting (Dolores dressed to kill!!) and screenplay writing.

Steve had his “$50 project” which was anything but a cheap hobby - fixing up an MG Midget!
